Pride and Glory

Nebulon shares an affinity for your earth police. Show’s like the Shield have wetted his appetite for violence and corruption and movies like Street Kings (filmed by the same crew that did the Shield) have further enticed him. When a movie comes out featuring Edward Norton and the promise of heady corrupt cop action then Nebulon stands up and takes notice. Pride and Glory is the story of a family of cops who are struggling to deal with the fall out from an apparent ambush which has left four cops dead. Needless to say that the onion skin peels away to reveal layers of corruption and deception. It’s not giving anything away to say that one of these guys is not exactly honest. Ed Norton is typically understated and effective while Colin Farrell is suitably shouty and aggressive as his brother in law. The whole piece comes across as quite a low key affair with plenty of drama and a neat semi-twist ending. All in all not bad, Nebulon was suitably amused.
