Tropic Thunder

Nebulon likes the idea of Tropic Thunder better than the execution. Studying your Earth conflicts is very interesting for Nebulon, by watching them we will come to understand you so we may destroy you. Your foolish Earth man Ben Stiller is sowing the seeds of you own destruction. Also, Nebulon has a huge man crush on Robert Downey Jr.

This is a remake of the Three Amigos set in Vietnam with no dancing. Steve Coogan is making a movie in which Stiller and Downey Jr are the stars. When the movie starts turning to shit Coogan transports them all to valley of death rigged with cameras to capture their 'real emotions'. When he steps on a land mine and Stiller and his crew attract the attention of some real drug lords the situation quickly gets out of hand with 'hilarious' consequences.

Nebulon is excited by the premise and found the first 20 minutes funny, however the movie seemed to lose it's way in the second act and wasn't really as funny as Nebulon thought it would be. The most notably performance is that of Tom Cruise as the obnoxious and hilarious movie mogul. This is unusual as all our previous analysis to date indicates that the chance of Tom Cruise ever being funny is statistically insignificant.

My monitoring of the Earth media tells me that there has been much controversy over this film as it supposedly makes fun of the handicapped and the black. Even from orbit it is obvious that actors are the object of derision in this film. Nebulon thinks he can smell attempts to whip u controversy in order to gain free publicity, judging by the box office this certainly seems to have worked. Foolish Earth media, so easily manipulated.

All in all Nebulon thinks this is a noble effort which falls short of classic status.

That's all from station 59. Remember, the eve of your destruction is at hand Earth men.
